radiothon 2025

That's a wrap! . . . What a weekend it was!

The weather was kind this time. . .but that's not always the case!

Why have a fundraiser? That was a question very quickly answered by Cameron Dick MP who helped launch our party in the car park. He went into great detail about the value of your local radio station during times of natural disasters and why it's essential that we purchase much needed home broadcasting equipment.

You can donate all year by clicking on the donate now tab. You'll find that button on every page of this site.

If you would like to use PayI.D. you can donate directly from your phone using our ABN as the reference.

You can call 3808 8101 to donate or join the supporters club too!

Our Radiothon Family Fun Day lived up to all expectations.

Without doubt, this was the best party in the car park yet! Jake Whittaker wowed the crowd with an Australian Idol style epic performance. Jake then popped into the studio for a chat before meeting his many fans at this great event.

Russell Morris proved to be one of the main draws of the day and he spent a long time chatting to fans and having a studio interview with Bluey.

Jose McLaughlin and Louie Shelton had a great chat with us and also met many of our listeners and there may be some big time joint ventures on the way for these talented music industry legends so watch this space and remember where you heard it first!

There were many bids for this signed photo of Russell Morris and the guitar signed by Louie Shelton!

Our house band Splinter from the Sunnybank Men’s shed started the day off at 10am with a great set to kick things off. They were very well received by the many folk who came along and they may even have picked up a future booking or two as a result of their performance. Local Duo Pastel started their set with a Buddy Holly song and had them dancing in the isles for while! They had a good variety of singalong songs to keep things moving along.

There was some young talent on show too with Dennis Comino treating us to some of his original material in the afternoon. Speedway fans enjoyed the display of bikes and memorabilia from the glory days of the Ekka thanks to Darren Sonnenberg and there were some pictures of Mr B from his previous life!

A huge thanks to Chatterbox Sound and lighting who provided the P.A. system for our musicians and guests.

There's a full gallery of pictures you can look at and we'll have some videos soon.

Thanks to everyone who came along to support us - we hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did!

Welcome to our new supporters club members.
